Arab immigrants in france........matter of suffering and integration

Arab immigrants in France……..Matter of Suffering and Integration

In 27th of October, 2005, riots caused by the Arab and Black minorities spread rapidly in France, country of freedom and equality. In one of Paris suburbs, where mostly Arabs live, two teenagers were killed during a police sweep. The wave of riots spread increasingly in the whole country causing great deal of destruction. French citizens saw their cars burned and their national property destroyed. All those sudden events led the French community to ask about the reasons behind all this frustration and violence in such a liberal country like France. Frankly, these riots were not a great surprise for the French authority because many human rights organizations warned France from the discrimination towards the minorities (Matlack). The reasons for Arab Muslims violence and frustration are due to discrimination, poor economic levels, governmental policies, and the Arabs' inability to integrate into the French society.
Discrimination is caused by negative images about Arabs and lack of teaching diversity in school curricula. Dr. Hayttham Manna' pointed out that racism in French society had increased significantly. According to him, the Advisory Committee on Human Rights in France reported that 70% of the French have racist appeals (Memri). This indicates that the French society practices discrimination towards the different minorities and this is due to different reasons. First, there are many negative images which the French have about the Arabs. The first reason which causes this negative image is the religious aspect. Tarek Ramadan assumes that it is wrong to think of religion as the reason behind the violence and frustration. According to him, the French think that religion is the main cause of violence and ignore the other socio-economic dimensions of the problem (Memri). They think that Arab Muslims are terrorists because of their religion. The French society generalizes the violence of some fundamentalists to the whole Arabs and Muslims because the French cannot understand that violence has no specific religion. Negative images are also due to clash of cultures. There are major differences in traditions between the Arabs and the French which create misunderstanding between them. Ali Saad Al-Moussa argues that Arabs carry their culture in their bags when they immigrate to western countries (Memri). Hence, the differences in traditions and ways of thinking make a gap between the minorities and the

HAS COLLEGE MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON
College really made my life better more than I never though it would .Now looking back I can see why college is the best place to make people’s life enhanced. The education that I got out my college classes made me a logical thinker. By reading the book and paying a close attention to college instructors my life become better in a priceless way. I came not to stereotype people other than to know them individually.
I started to become a logical thinker. Since I started going to school I came not to think how my way of thinking always is not right. I came to see people’s idea despite it is right or wrong I rather tried to broaden my prespective from it. College made me decide to includes peoples perspective in my life. By doing this my life become different. I no more tried to tell myself how I was the only person who has the right perspective when it come to different matters like which culture is right and which is wrong or which religon is better. College helped me just to understand different perspective about peoples culture, religion an matters of that kind. But finally I knew I had the freedom either to agree with the idea or to disagree with it as long as I keep it to myself.
Furthermore, reading books and paying a close attention to my instructors taught me in college made me become a much improved person. When I read books about people’s culture, religion, good and bad situations that they went through I came to compare my life with them and this made me become a developed person. When I begun spending a lot amount of time by reading books I came to gain knowledge that I otherwise would gotten if I did not open books and read it. Reading books became the best way to change how I was living my life and still will live in my future. Also, my instructors are the most important part that transform being to turn out to be better. Every time when I am focused and listen to every word they taught me at college it was one of the important parts that made me a better person. The lecture I listened about how culture has a big impact to influence a person‘s life,

macbeth

In this essay I will explore and explain one of William Shakespeare's tragically play Macbeth. In this aspect is that of the three Weird Sisters. These three” secret black, and midnight hags" (Mac IV.i 47), hardly noticeable as humans, serve a huge dramatic function in the play. Closely looking at Macbeth, one can distinguish the many functions that they serve in the play. The role of the three Weird Sisters in the play Macbeth is to generate imagery, mood, and atmosphere and to serve as the equivocation that will bring Macbeth, Thane of Glamis, to his downfall.
The witches are a powerful influence on Macbeth because they are, in part, responsible for his decision to kill Duncan. Through their predictions they have filled Macbeth with the desire for the throne of Scotland. But, in the final analysis, the witches do very little to influence Macbeth to commit the murder of the king, Banquo, and the others. Macbeth's own inner evil and desire for ambition, coupled with the pressure placed on him by Lady Macbeth to kill the king, are really the factors that most strongly influenced Macbeth. The belief in the existence and power of witches was widely believed in Shakespeare's day, as demonstrated by the European witch craze, during which an estimated nine million women were put to death for being apparent as witches. The practice of witchcraft was seen to subvert the established order of religion and society, and hence was not tolerated. Witch hunting was a respectable, moral, and highly intellectual pursuit through much of the fifteenth, sixteenth, and seventeenth centuries. The belief of the majority during the seventeenth century suggests that the witches are powerful figures who can exercise great power over Macbeth; however, strong arguments to the contrary were in existence at the same time. The intensity of the tragedy is dependent on whether the witches are perceived to be able to control the otherwise innocent Macbeth's actions, or if he is entirely responsible for his own downfall. The main type of weather found throughout the play is thunder and lightning storms, which occur when evil deeds are either being formulated or carried out. I first saw this theatrical use of weather when we meet the three witches in Act 1, scene 1. Whether Shakespeare included stage directions for storms is debatable, but the lines of the play suggest the kind
