To those unfamiliar with Triple Jump, the sport seems to be a very abnormal activity at a first glance. It seems to be very unnatural and extremely punishing to the body. But once one gains familiarity with the event it becomes evident that the Triple Jump is just a sophisticated combination of the same hopping, skipping and Jumping found on virtually any school playground. Despite its root of child-like movements, triple Jump has developed into one of the most challenging events in all of the track and field events. It demands the complex integration of speed, precision, balance, resiliency and power. Excelling in this event requires that one masters and identifies these skills. With gradual and long-term training this can be achieved.
Remember
-To be a competitor in the Triple Jump you mustn’t attempt the Long Jump.
-Be careful not to land prematurely, this will result in a foul
-Be careful of injured heals. Where heal cups to absorb the shock.
- Always stretch before jumping, if not you will result in pulled leg muscles and tendons.
