The World

I close my eyes
and I find myself in a world
of great fantasy
where peace
and pleasure prevail.
I close my eyes,
and I find myself in a world
with no sorrow,
where there’s no hunger
no poverty.
I close my eyes,
and I find myself in a ceaseless field
covered with sparkling flowers,
bright like the sun;
there’s no sadness at all.
I close my eyes,
stare at the flowers:
I feel joy and truth.
They embrace,
my life;
they embrace.
I close my eyes,
stare at the dazzling flowers:
wet they are,
forever mine their drops!
drops of silence,
drops of gladness.
I close my eyes,
feel, hear the drops,
sweet music of nature they are,
and the sun,
a warm,
but touch less blanket of heat
But someday,
it ceases in an end;
my precious dream,
which right now
nobody owns.
I open my eyes,
and I see nothing,
it’s that I’m back,
back in the Real World!
a world without compassion.
