Character Traits
Romeo- Romeo is the son of Montague. He cares for Juliet a lot but his friend makes fun of him. He suddenly grows up to a man and likes Juliet. He is very hot-tempered too. His family and Juliet's families have been fighting for generations. He loves to Juliet and wants to marry her.
Juliet- Juliet is the daughter of Capulet. She loves Romeo a lot too. She wants to marry him also. She is loving and caring. Her heart "is only for Romeo." She is also very brave and determined.
Mercutio- Mercutio is the kinsman to the Prince. He is Romeo's good friend. He is a "comedian." He thinks he was the funniest person alive. He watches out for Romeo in which he lands up dead.
Juliet's Nurse- She is Juliet's personal nurse. She is also a friend of Juliet. The nurse doesn't like Mercutio and doesn't find him funny at all. She dislikes him and Romeo and fought with them frequently.
Summary
The story of Romeo and Juliet is about true love. The Montague and Capulet family has been fighting for generations. The Montague's won't let Romeo go near the Capulet's and the Capulet's won't let Juliet go near the Montague's. Romeo and his friend Mercutio always made fun of the Capulet's and were always making trouble. Romeo was hot-tempered and always landed up in trouble. 14 year old Juliet was to be married to Count Paris. Romeo and Mercutio crashed the party and Romeo fell in love with Juliet. Juliet's cousin Tybalt started a fight with Mercutio. Tybalt runs with his sword and kills Mercutio. Romeo with rage battles with Tybalt and kills him. The Prince of Verona says Romeo has one day left to live. Juliet falls in love with Romeo and can't live with herself and gets a potion that puts her in a coma so her and his spirit can combine. When Romeo mishears this message, thinking she is dead he takes a poison and kills himself. When Juliet finds out about Rome! o's death she takes his dagger and kills herself. This shows the meaning of true love. To kill yourself because your lover dies means you really love a person.
Opinion
I think this book is very hard to read. It is very complicated because things are written and aren't meant. The story is very good though. I found it interesting that some people would give there...
