Apologies never seem to take away the pain,
They only remind you of what you lost again,
Promises never seem to dry your tears,
They only rekindle your darkest fears,
Encouragement never does seem to help the weak,
It only manages to make life feel more bleak,
Words never seem to make a difference when spoken,
Because they can’t mend a heart that’s already broken,
But why do you constantly let your soul get broken,
Why should you have your thoughts go unspoken,
Maybe only you can stop life being so bleak,
Why should you lie down and be one of the weak,
No one said you ever had to hide your fears,
But why do you drown yourself in your own tears,
So how will you know you’ve got your life back again,
It’ll be when I won’t be needed to help cure the pain,
But until the day these things change, you’ll always have my allegiance,
That I’ll never stop trying to help you find your “unfenced existence”.
