The Desert

The Desert
I could have been a gregarious angel,
flying with the delicate doves in the sky.
But instead,
I have become a lonely rock in the desert.
Doves do not aviate the desert, and
Rocks are not inscribed onto the sky.
The desert is the valley of death, while
The sky is the city of luxury.
Life is convivial everywhere,
Besides the desert.
Where am I?
